Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control. Written in plain language.

Draft. Business details are still being added, so this page is not final yet.

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This policy explains how [to be added] ("Spinvas", "we") handles information when you use our website and services. It follows the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its Reasonable Security Practices and Sensitive Personal Data Rules, 2011, and is being prepared for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

When you create a 360° view

  • The video you upload, the optional logo, the product name and the settings you choose.
  • The 360° view we make from them: image frames, a small settings file and optional GIF.

You can make your first view without an account. To save views, make more or download files, you log in with Google or an email link; we then keep your email and the details you choose to give (name, store name, platform, store link, WhatsApp number) and the date you agreed to this policy. If you write to us, we keep your message and contact details to reply.

When you join the waitlist

We keep your first name, the WhatsApp number or email you give, what you sell, the store or Instagram link if you add one, whether you would like to be a founding seller, and the site that sent you to us. We use them only to tell you about early access. Reply STOP, or write to us, and we delete them.

When someone views a 360° view (shoppers)

Our servers receive the standard technical information every website receives: IP address, browser type, the page that embedded the view and the time of the request. We use it to deliver the view, keep the service secure and prevent abuse, such as too many uploads from one address. We do not use cookies or advertising trackers in the viewer.

Why we use it

  • To create, host and deliver your 360° view, GIF and downloads.
  • To keep the service working, secure and free of abuse.
  • To answer your questions and improve the product.

We do not sell your information and we do not use your videos to train AI models.

Who can see your 360° view

A 360° view is published at a link that is hard to guess. Anyone who has the link, or visits a page where you embedded it, can see it. Do not upload anything you want to keep private.

Services we use

  • Hosting and storage providers that run our servers.
  • Google Fonts, which loads the fonts on our website (not inside the viewer). Google receives your IP address when the fonts load.

When paid plans start, payments will be processed by a payment gateway such as Razorpay. We will not store your card or UPI details.

How long we keep it

Views saved to an account are never deleted by us while the account is open. Each plan says how long a view stays live (Free: 7 days after it is made); after that the view is paused, so the link and store pages stop showing it, and it comes back on the same link when you move to a plan that keeps views live. A view made without an account and not saved within 6 days is deleted. The video or photos you upload are deleted 7 days after your view is made, and downloads (MP4, photo pack, .zip) are deleted after 7 days and made again when you next download them. If a view cannot be made, its files are deleted within 24 hours. You can delete a view yourself in My spins at any time. If you delete your account, everything is removed 7 days later (you can undo it until then). Waitlist details are kept while the waitlist is open, or until you ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for up to 180 days.

Security

Uploads are checked for type and size, stored on access-controlled servers and served over encrypted connections once the site is live. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct it or delete it, including your videos and 360° views.
  • Withdraw consent for anything that relies on it.

Download a copy of your data or delete your account yourself on your Account page, or write to [to be added]. We reply within 7 days.

Grievance officer

For any complaint about how we handle information, contact our grievance officer: [to be added], [to be added], [to be added]. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 7 days.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for important changes we will show a notice on the website.
